Before you leave Wi-Fi
  1. On iPhone, open this secure page in Safari. You can use Share → Add to Home Screen, then open it there.
  2. In the browser or home-screen app you’ll use, wait for “Ready offline”, allow location, and test with mobile data switched off.
  3. Keep the recorder visible and unlocked while walking. GPS can work without mobile data, but fixes may take longer and be less accurate under cover.
  4. Press Finish, then Share / export all to keep a backup. The path sketch is not a navigation map.
